We know we upload a lot of troll sets, but we can’t help that they just have so many cool options and fit so many armor themes.  Upon seeing this bat staff we instantly thought of troll druids flight form, and the rest was history.  We chose a lot of blue colors for a more traditional dark bat color, and picked a lot of armors that looked a little furry or fuzzy.

Everything but the gloves and the shoes in this set can be easily solo farmed, but bring some friends to do some BC raiding with you if you want to complete the whole thing.

Ice Troll

This set went through several iterations, and maybe we’ll upload some of them in the future.  The basic premise here was to make a Troll set that looked nice and proper for an Ice Troll, thus why it has a very Northrend look.  The staff seems very in place for a troll in the tundra.  Some of our other sets included more white colors and the Engraved Gargoyle Femur.

Most of the pieces drop in Northrend as quest rewards or random drops, the helm is a quest reward in the new low level zones, and the staff is a drop in Ulduar.  If you use a different staff the set is fairly easy to make, otherwise expect to farm Ulduar for a couple weeks.

More or less a color match then a themed set, the set is a pretty good neutral look if you’re just trying to go simple yet elegant.  The Funeral Pyre staff may be a bit much in that case though, and most staves would work here.

Most of the pieces are easy to obtain northrend drops/rewards/craftables, while the most difficult to obtain would be the staff (or its lool-a-likes).  However if you’re a Firelands raider there’s a solid chance you already have this weapon; that coupled with the fact that the weapon is not integral to the rest of the set made me feel like this set is a pretty easy make.

This set was designed more or less to match this awesome looking staff.  It was tailored to look very druidy, so we went with a kilt rather than pants, but there are several options you could go with if you’d rather.  The helm is completely optional, but it felt like a cool non-invasive cherry on top.

The whole set might be a little tricky to get as a lot of the pieces drop off hard to solo raids, but if you can get a group of friends to help you its certainly doable.  The shoulders can be bought easily with honor.   The kilt may be the hardest item to find, its a random drop in the Scarlet monastery, and could be substituted for several items, such as the Kilt of the Forgotten One.  Since few of the pieces are tied to the same set you’ll definitely look unique (unless you’re shapeshifted :( ).
